Summary
Throwing a ball to a teammate is crucial in soccer and basketball. Two-hand overhead throwing is required in soccer and is often used in basketball. Learning to properly and accurately throw a ball to a teammate becomes very important to students’ overall success in these sports. Students and recreational players can use two-hand overhead throwing effectively once they understand how and when to use it. Maintaining the proper body position, stepping with the throw, and using proper arm movements are elements that students must understand before they have repeated success with this skill.
