Points of the Leg Tai Yang Bladder Channel

In the center of the gastrocnemius, in a depression just below where the two bellies meet. Easily palpable if you run your finger up the Achilles tendon and there is a natural stop. Officially 8 cun below BL 40.
Needling
0.5 to 1 cun perpendicular insertion.
Actions and indications
Key point for sciatica, cramp. Paralysis and weakness in the leg. Alleviates pain along the channel. Treats conditions of the anal and genital region.

Location
7 cun directly above BL 60. Posterior border of the fibula on lateral margin of gastrocnemius.
Needling
0.5 to 1 cun perpendicular insertion.
Actions and indications
Main indication is for acute sciatic type symptoms with cramping. Also helps resolve swelling of the legs, due to being a luo-connecting point with the Kidney.
