The number of competitors stepping onstage in bodybuilding competitions has drastically increased over the past two decades. This is due in part to several new competitive divisions and sanctions providing more opportunities for a wider array of physiques to compete. Typically, information about preparing for a competition is passed down from competitor to competitor either online or at the gym. Although there is an increasing number of competitors using science-based approaches to contest preparation, there is still a large amount of misinformation about contest preparation. Therefore, the purpose of this webinar by Peter Fitschen and Cliff Wilson, authors of Bodybuilding: The Complete Contest Preparation Handbook is to discuss five common myths associated with nutrition, training and peaking for a competition and how to handle the post-show period.
