Consisting of three video presentations, Functional Fitness Online CE Course helps strength and conditioning professionals, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors gain a better understanding of mobilization, stabilization, and flexibility training techniques.
The first presentation, Mobility, Stability, and Recovery, provides examples of mobilization and stabilization techniques and recovery practices to help restore balance, optimize strength and agility, improve overall functional movement performance, and reduce risk of injury. Gain insights into how to use the presented techniques to keep your clients’ bodies supple before, during, and after workouts to prevent injuries, increase performance, and improve recovery.
Next, Implementation of Functional Flexibility Training explains flexibility and why it’s important to include in programming. Understand the differences between static and dynamic stretching and the role of range of motion (ROM) in flexibility training. An overview of movements that can improve flexibility is provided, as well as guidance for preworkout and postworkout stretches, enabling fitness professionals to design a basic preworkout and postworkout stretch for their clients.
The final presentation, Stabilization Training, introduces stabilization training for the general population as a way to improve functional fitness and activities of daily living. The concept of proprioception is introduced, along with the exercise methods that are used to improve it. You’ll learn how the principle of progressive overload can be applied to stabilization training and become prepared to design a program for the general population.
Each video presentation in Functional Fitness Online CE Course contains slides that make it easy to follow along with the presenter’s discussion. Once you complete the course and pass the exam, you can print a certificate for continuing education credits.
