Should kids strength train?

A sometimes controversial topic isn't so controversial once it is broken down into simple terms. Should kids strength train? This, of course, speaks to the question of whether or no pre-adolescent kids should participate in a strength or sports performance training program, and if it is safe to do so. The short answer is, yes, it is safe if done under the supervision of a certified, qualified professional who has the child's best interest in mind.
