Walton-Fisette has published four books and more than 50 research articles and serves on numerous editorial boards, including serving as associate editor for \u003ci\u003eQuest\u003c\/i\u003e. She served as chair of the SHAPE America Research Council and is actively involved with the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (OAHPERD); SHAPE America; and other associations. Her scholarship explores social justice, equity, and policy issues in physical education and PETE programs locally, nationally, and internationally. In recent years she has been especially active in the areas of social-emotional learning and trauma-informed teaching, and she is well respected as an expert on these subjects.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eStephen A.
