Viewing Inbound Plays & Insights is like having a series of personal basketball clinics with Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame coach Morgan Wootten. Tap into Wootten’s tactical genius with 20 in-bound plays and variations from under the basket, the sideline, and the backcourt.

Each key topic is covered thoroughly with on-court instruction and demonstration, Xs-and-Os animation, and the best selection of related drills used by Wootten while guiding his DeMatha dynasty to 1,274 wins. As a bonus, Wootten shares special philosophical insights and coaching advice based on his 46-year coaching career.

Morgan Wootten coached 1,274 wins during his 46-year tenure as head basketball coach at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. His career winning percentage of .869 is the highest of any coach with more than 500 wins in the history of organized sport. The prestigious Naismith Foundation named Morgan Wootten the No. 1 Prep Coach of the 20th Century.

Wootten put DeMatha on the national map of high school basketball in 1965 when his team broke the 71-game winning streak of Lew Alcindor’s club at Power Memorial Academy in New York. Under Wootten, DeMatha won legendary national championships in 1962, 1965, 1968, 1978, and 1984. USA Today named Wootten the National Coach of the Year. His teams recorded 44 consecutive seasons with at least 20 wins and won 33 Catholic League Championships. Most impressive, DeMatha has finished the season ranked No. 1 in the Washington, DC, area 20 times in 33 years. Wootten was inducted into the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000.

Regarded as one of the best teachers in the history of the game, Wootten has sent more than 160 high school players on to play college basketball, and a dozen have played in the NBA. More than 20 of his former assistant coaches or players have coached on the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Coaches throughout the world have sought Wootten's wisdom in his book Coaching Basketball Successfully, watched his videos, and sat spellbound through his clinics for many years.

    Wootten resides in Hyattsville, Maryland.
